Arrival - Flight Transfer From ORT International Airport to Madikwe Game Reserve
The aircraft will depart from Johannesburg's OR Tambo Airport. The flight should take 1-2 hours landing in Madikwe Game Reserve. An open aired land cruiser will pick you up from the airstrip and take you to the lodge.
On arrival at Tuningi Safari Lodge, you will get a brief camp orientation and then checked into your room. There is time to freshen up and enjoy a light snack before you set off on a sunset safari drive in the Madikwe Game Reserve. Safari game drives in Madikwe will be accompanied by a ranger or guide who have a comprehensive knowledge of all flora and fauna found in Madikwe. They are all very passionate people who have a special ability to teach you about nature. You arrive back at the lodge as the sun is almost completely gone and you can sip on a refreshing drink or coffee at the lodge dining area before sitting down to dinner.
Dinner is served.
After dinner, spend some time around the fire sharing stories of the day before retiring to your room for a good night’s rest.
- Day 2
Madikwe Game Reserve
Each morning will see you get a wakeup call from your guide or camp manager and you have time to prepare for the day before making our way down to the dining area for tea and coffee served with biscuits.
Your morning game drive will depart the lodge. You will have the opportunity to spot the Big 5 animals like Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant and Buffalo, as well as an array of antelope and other wildlife animals on your morning safari drive. On your return to the lodge a hot breakfast awaits. During the day you may relax in the pool, on your viewing deck, enqiure about other activities that the lodge might offer. After high tea you set off again through on a sunset/night safari drive.
Arriving back at the lodge you are treated to a South African meal under the stars. This normally includes, chicken, beef and lamb grilled to perfection on an open fire or as a stew with salads, fresh bread rolls, soup of the day and a local desert. It’s been a long day and after dinner enjoy an early night’s rest in your air-conditioned chalet.

Madikwe Game Reserve
Day 3 is typically a carbon copy of Day 2, you will just have ticked off some more species on your quest to spot the Big Five and more.
- Day 4
Flight Transfer From Madikwe Game Reserve to Sabi Sands Game Reserve
You will get a wakeup call from your guide or camp manager and you have time to prepare for the day before making your way down to the dining area for tea and coffee served with biscuits.
Your morning game drive will depart the lodge. On your return to the lodge a hot breakfast awaits. You will then check out and taken to the airstrip by open aired land cruiser.
Your flight which would be about 1-2 hours will then depart Madikwe Game Reserve and head for the famous Sabi Sands Game Reserve where and open aired land cruiser awaits to take you to the breath taking Leopard Hills Private Game Reserve.
On arrival at Leopard Hills Private Game Reserve, you will get a brief camp orientation and then checked into your room. There will be time to freshen up and enjoy a light snack before you set off on a sunset safari drive in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. Once arrival back at the lodge you can enjoy on a refreshing drink or coffee at the lodge dining area before sitting down to dinner. After dinner you may retreat to your air-conditioned suite after the eventful day.

Sabi Sands Game Reserve
Day 5 is typically a carbon copy of Day 4, you will just have ticked off some more species on your quest to spot the Big Five and more.
- Day 6
Road Transfer from Sabi Sands Game Reserve to Timbavati Game Reserve
You will get a wakeup call from your guide or camp manager and you have time to prepare for the day before making your way down to the dining area for tea and coffee served with biscuits.
Your morning game drive will depart the lodge. On your return to the lodge a hot breakfast awaits. You will then check out and taken to the airstrip by open aired land cruiser.
Your flight which would be about 1-2 hours will then depart Sabi Sands Game Reserve and head for the Timbavati Game Reserve where and open aired land cruiser awaits to take you to Kings Camp.
On arrival at Kings Camp, you will get a brief camp orientation and then checked into your room. There will be time to freshen up and enjoy a light snack before you set off on a sunset safari drive in the Timbavati Reserve. Once arrival back at the lodge you can enjoy on a refreshing drink or coffee at the lodge dining area before sitting down to dinner. After dinner you may retreat to your air-conditioned suite after the eventful day.
- Day 7
Timbavati Game Reserve
Day 7 is typically a carbon copy of Day 6, you will just have ticked off some more species on your quest to spot the Big Five and more.

- Day 9
Departure - Flight Transfer to ORT International Airport
Today your safari trip comes to an end. However, there is still an exciting morning safari game drive planned. You will get a wakeup call from your guide and make your way down to the dining area for tea and coffee which will be served with biscuits before departing on your morning adventure. You will have the opportunity to spot animals that have eluded you thus far. Arriving back at the camp after the safari drive, you enjoy breakfast then check-out from your rooms.
You will then depart for the airstrip where you wil catch a flight back to Johannesburg ORT International Airport.
