Covering 10,000ha of beautiful and diverse bushveld, Kariega Game Reserve offers abundant game including lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, hippo, hyena, giraffe, zebra and numerous antelope species. This malaria-free Big 5 private game reserve is set in the pristine wilderness of the Kariega River Valley.
As well as morning and evening open vehicle safari game drives with experienced rangers, Kariega Homestead also offers diverse activities including river cruises on the delightful African Queen, canoeing, mountain biking, bush walks, fly-fishing and swimming in beautiful river pools. Birding along the river banks is excellent with martial and crowned eagles soaring above and the plaintiff cry of the fish eagle often heard. Visits to the nearby sandy beaches of Kenton-on-Sea is less than 15 minutes drive away. Alternatively, you can just relax by the pool and soak up the sun.
